The CNF files are configuration files for the phones that are going to be registered to the CME/CUCM.
These files contain informtaion about the load that the phone should run, the CME/CUCM it should register to, locale information, and URLs that the phone should access.
You can create cnf files for all phones separately or a common default cnf file.
To create separate cnf file sfor the phones run the following:
telephony-service
cnf-file perphone
cnf-file flash:
These cnf files are located in the flash of the router.
Yes, you can open them and have a look. Use the more <filename> command to check the contents:
CME#more flash:its/vrf1/SEP<>.cnf.xml
Or you can copy the file from the flash to a tftp server on your PC and then access it.
