Known Ethernet MAC address list - Prime Infrastructure 3.2

Hello community,

I have set up SPT (auto & manual) in order to track wired rogue APs. A rogue AP keeps coming up, which is connected to a specific port on a switch. Since I know what this AP is, I do not want it to show up in SPT searches. That is why I wanted to configure the "know ethernet mac address list". What confuses me it that I do not understand which mac address I need to specify under this section:

The mac address that I see connected on the interface or the mac address of the switch interface to which the wired AP connects?

It seems that since configuring the mac address of the connected device in the "known ethernet mac address list", the problem has yet to appear. I hope that this is the case and not some random behavior.
