It’s not rocket science.  You want to attract developers to your community…give them free stuff. And I don’t mean mugs and yo-yos. (Although a cool T-shirt is always good.)  I mean real tools that add real value to their develop efforts.  The DevNet sandbox does just that, providing developers with access to real and virtualized network devices, against which they can build and test their applications. We’re talking real hardware that you’d see in a customer environment.

According to DevNet’s Cherie Reed, “many of the people we’re talking to here in the DevNet Zone at Cisco Live are surprised to learn that we have over ¾ of a million dollars’ worth of tools available to them in the DevNet Sandbox.  Tools like network, call processing, and sensor traffic generators.  Free!”

People are amazed to see all the labs, including labs for APIC, IoT, and collaboration.  If you’re at Cisco Live, come by the DevNet Zone and check out the Sandbox labs.  If not, login to www.developer.cisco.com and book a lab – build it, try it, test it.  All in the DevNet Sandbox.
