SusieRob.pngTech is people powered often without putting a face to the name. We venture through hordes of faceless webpages hunting for useful information in a day’s Google searches. We love to “humanize” DevNet when possible, and jumped at the opportunity for a Techwise TV (@techwisetv) feature. After all, DevNet is crafted by a team of regular (well, awesome!) people just like you. Our fearless leader, Susie Wee(@susiewee), spearheaded our first feature and this DevNet 101 was fantastic! Now it’s time for round two, a deeper-dive with Amanda Whaley (@mandywhaley) and some of our crew.

Our next feature contains just a handful of our Developer Evangelists covering info about Git, Ansible, NX-OS, Sandbox, bots and more! Did I mention this session will be interactive so you can ask us questions along the way? Register for a seat here. This takes place (via WebEx) @ 10:00am PST, February 2nd.

Our objective at DevNet is to empower developers (or engineers, architects and anyone who may code) with the tools necessary to complete a Cisco integration, proof of concept and make their next big dev idea come to life! One popular tool we provide are Learning Tracks. You can think of these tracks as a mini-curriculum to help guide your learning. Learning Tracks contain self-paced labs, easy to digest lessons on coding and Cisco APIs. Some lessons focus on the basics, digging into what is an API and how they can empower your mission. Other labs will dive into Cisco APIs or open source tools. Another powerful resource – the DevNet Sandbox – provides access to real Cisco tech for learning or development.

The DevNet Sandbox offers labs spanning Cisco’s technologies.

Each development space features one particular technology

like ACI, Contact Center, UCS or many others. Reservation labs offer full administrative access to APIs, configurations, and integrations. Our labs are accessible from anywhere with private VPN connections.  If you’ve ever wanted to test out a configuration or bring an integration to life, the Sandbox is the place to play!

These are just a few key examples to be featured on Techwise TV, so don’t forget to register on DevNet and gain access to these tools today!

Here are the topics featured on Thursday's live show:

Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and NX-OS – Hank Preston (@hfpreston)

Version Control via Git – Ashley Roach (@aroach)

Get Started with Data Center Programmability – John McDonough (@johnamcdonough)

Build a Meraki Spark Bot – Kareem Iskander (@Kareem_isk)

We hope to chat with you on the upcoming workshop! Come ready to learn and armed with questions. If you’ve got any comments, please drop them below! As always, follow us on Twitter (@CiscoDevNet), Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates!

Jacob
