The annual Cisco® Visual Networking Index (VNI) Global Mobile Data Forecast, just out, once again shows the phenomenal growth expected in the Global mobile industry.
For me the interest is to look into the APAC specific trends and the unique characteristics of this very diverse region. Within APAC we have super developed market like Japan and Korea which lead the world in 4G/LTE adoption and several developing markets like Indonesia and India where large Wi-Fi investment is taking place.
The detail in the VNI trends gives us insight on the Mobile industry growth drivers and how it varies from country to country, specifically the impact of Smart device adoption, network capability, and new services such-as VoLTE/VoWiFi and M2M.
