Two weeks ago, in what is now an annual tradition, Cisco hosted our Americas Customer Collaboration Partner Sales Summit in the Boston, Massachusetts area. This event brought together nearly 300 partners and Cisco attendees for two days of product updates, live demos, best practice sharing, networking and interactive discussions.  I have never seen these teams as aligned and excited about the market opportunity ahead of us.  At the event, we discussed how market shifts and the competitive landscape have created the“perfect storm” for significant market share gains and expansion of Cisco practices.  Partners noted that Cisco’s full Collaboration portfolio is a significant differentiator in helping to deliver Customer Collaboration solutions, and that our focus on innovation and execution is what they need to be successful with their customers.

Since we measure everything at Cisco, it should be no surprise that we captured some key metrics from this event; but even I was surprised that the attendees scored the event a 4.75 out of 5.0 (compared to 4.62 last year).  Also,
100% of attendees strongly agreed or agreed that the event was a valuable use of their time and 96% strongly agreed or agreed that the event strengthened their relationship with Cisco.  One partner said: “This is the BEST event that Cisco has offered. Cisco has come so far even in the last year!We are seeing our business grow, and we love the way you include us as if we are truly a part of Cisco.”

We are taking this best practice event global, with a European Partner Sales Summit taking place in Prague on December 7th and 8th, and summits in Dubai,India, and Australia being planned for early in calendar year 2012.  As our momentum continues in the Customer Collaboration market, our partners will be vital in our quest to become the #1 supplier in the market.  With a focus on both Execution and Innovation, and with strong collaboration from our partner community, I do see a clear path to that goal.   I could not be more excited about the journey to come, and about the partners that will be joining us on that journey.
