I keep reading about this axlsqltoolkit.zip which contains the AXLAPI.wsdl file, but I have nowhere to download it from.  I can't find it anywhere.  Is it just me or would it make sense to have this file available for download on the AXL developer page somewhere?  Does anyone know of an easy way for me to get that file that doesn't involve me having to currently own or have access to a Cisco communications device of some sort?  Thanks!

The AXL toolkit - which includes the WSDL - is provided as part of the UCM installation (download from the UCM web admin pages.)  Since the WSDL is UCM version specific (notwithstanding the backward compatibility facilities,) there isn't much use in having the WSDL without UCM to develop against - not sure I've seen many requests for this.

The situation is similar with most of the other UCM WSDLs, and the TAPI and JTAPI client libraries.  If you need details on the AXL requests and schema for reference/evaluation, the 'interface spec' doc should prove helpful, such as '8.0(1) Cisco Unified Communications Manager Admin XML Interface Spec (zip)' .

One use case where having this file would make sense :-

I have access to the AXL interface for the CUCM but not the Admin Web pages.

So while I can hit the endpoint and make API requests, I don't have access to the WSDL, and getting such access / asking someone with access to send me the zip file would involve a lot of red tape.

It would be a much better idea to have the WSDL file downloadable from the web server on the CUCM machine.
