I am newbie to CUCM and developing an interface for CUCM 6.x
My requirement is to add numbers for blocking incoming / outgoing calls. e.g., specified numbers can not make outbound calls, similarly, calls from specified numbers will be blocked. I am unable to locate function for this. Kindly help out. I have to do this using AXL SOAP

Hi,

you can check this link for details abt CSS and partitions.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/6_0_1/ccmsys/a03ptcss.html

The exposed AXL API's in the deveoper guide wil help you set these values via AXL.

HTH

Thanks,
Madhukar

Hi Shahzad,

Like Madhukar mentioned below, you can modify the CSS of the phone or line using AXL to block / restrict the outgoing calls.

Regarding blocking the incoming calls, can you please explain more? I don't think it can be acheived by modifying any parameters (using AXL) of the phone which requires this feature. Do you want the call to be rejected after the destination phone rings? In that case you can use third party monitoring using JTAPI application. In case you don't want the call to hit the destination phone, then you need to intercept the call at some CTI route point or so, then redirect / reject it.

Thanks,
Shameer.
