Trying to use the CUIC sample gadget with Firefox and CUIC 9.1.1. In CUIC 9.1.1 it creates permalinks using HTTPS rather than HTTP which causes the iFrame to fail with a certificate error. In IE I can set it as an eception as well as in Firefox however the gadget just sits at "Requesting report execution" in Firefox. Gadget works in IE. Any ideas?

The CUIC sample gadget provides for an example of using a permalink and rendering the iframe when the Finesse tab is clicked.  Your issue sounds like a CUIC problem with Firefox.

True. However the permalink works in Firefox if you just paste it into a blank tab. I think it has to be something with CUIC links in an iFrame with Firefox. I am going to code a sample page outside of Finesse to test this but that has to be what it is. I noticed permalinks now use HTTS so I wonder if that has something to do with it. Either way just wanted to ask around before I dug too deep.

Chuck,
I had the same issue with Firefox with a CUIC gadget hosted in an iFrame.  Firefox showed an error but did not provide a method to add the host as an exception.  I was able to get around this by navigating directly to the permalink in firefox and adding the CUIC host as an exception.

Hi David,

We are using v10.5 of Finesse, and have come across this same issue. Can you clarify your workaround for this issue? Do you mean that you simply had agents open a separate tab with the permalink so they could view the appropriate report(s)/dashboard(s)?

Thanks,

Stuart Walker

I've tried with the dCloud environment. it is UCCX 10.5.1.10000-24.

Neither CUIC or EmbeddedApp gadgets from Cisco Developer community can render a CUIC permalink report in Finesse Desktop if I use Firefox. It keeps saying Requesting Report Execution for ever.

Using Internet Explorer made the trick.

On dCloud it is IE9 and FF27.

Using my machine with FF34 it is the same.

there must be some issue between the gadget and FF iFrames...

Does anyone have any news about that ??

I have this problem but I also have the socialminer gadget in the cisco finesse. Unfortunately I can't use the IE because SocialMiner don't support IE 8+.

I'm deploying a finesse interface with these defaults gadgets: SocialMiner, Interaction Manager, CUIC, Media Sense. But the CUIC gadget don't finish the request reporting execution.

Did anyone manage to get the CUIC permalink report working in Finesse using Firefox? This is still an issue for me using FF 38 ESR
