MCC acceptance duration in DCP, which used to be fixed at 5 days, is now configurable.

If you are a DCP user who processes MCCs, you must be aware of the 5-day rule which required customers to accept MCCs submitted to them within 5 days. At the end of that 5-day duration, MCC would be auto-accepted, and revenue recognition and invoicing would begin. DCP would now allow you to select any duration between 5 and 20 days.

Why was this enhancement introduced?

The MCC acceptance duration has been made configurable based on the feedback from some of our users that in many cases, the customer's SOW requires an acceptance duration longer than 5 days.

How does this enhancement work?

A new field, Document Acceptance Duration, would appear after you select a Document Customer Acceptor on the Documents tab of the MCC in question. The duration would initially be defaulted to 5 days. If you click on the green Submit button now, the MCC will be submitted with an acceptance duration of 5 days, as per the original functionality. However, if a different duration is applicable per the customer's SOW, you can use the up and down carets to increase or decrease the duration.

DCP does not have visibility into the customer's SOW. Therefore, the MCC submitter, you would need to ensure that the duration that is input is in line with the customer's SOW. If you try to submit an MCC with acceptance duration longer than 5 days, a warning message would be shown to reinforce this fact.

Clicking on 'Proceed' would submit the MCC to the customer with the duration you chose. Clicking on 'Revert', would change the duration on the screen back to 5 days. You can now click on the Submit button to submit your MCC.
