BIOS profiles allow users to propagate consistent BIOS settings across a large amount of nodes and has the ability to be applied using multiple interfaces for quick and easy implementation. This guide will demonstrate how to implement a BIOS profile using a Cisco IMC interface. This feature is supported on all M4 and M5 standalone rack servers, and requires IMC 3.x FW at a minimum.
The attached ZIP folders contains several files:
- BIOS schema files that outline the various tokens available for profile creation (separate schema for each M4 rack server)
- Sample JSON formatted profiles for several M4 Rack servers
- Sample JSON formatted profiles for M5 rack servers
The attached PowerPoint presentation provides an introduction to this feature, discusses some of the use cases, and provides instructions on implementing this capability.
