Overview

vBranch Core Function Pack uses automation to address the complete lifecycle management of VNFs at remote branches (on premise). It leverages next-generation Cisco CPE devices (enabled by NFVIS) that support the deployment of VNFs to facilitate business requirements, intercepting all ingress and egress traffic. This allows Service Providers and Enterprises to deploy VNFs remotely in a repeatable, consistent manner using a robust and verified process that minimizes the need to deploy engineers to remote sites to achieve the desired outcome. This Cisco vBranch Core Function Pack demonstration environment includes Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO), vBranch Core Function Pack (FP), and the network function virtual infrastructure software (NFVIS) system configured in the environment to work together. The demonstration features content that supports the enabling of virtual network functions (VNFs) in adherence with European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) Management and Orchestration (MANO) specifications on remote branch sites supported by Cisco enabled EVNF CPE devices.
