Description

What's the event?

The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is holding a hackathon as part of IETF 95. This is the first time the IETF is being held in South America, and it all starts with a hackathon the weekend before the general meeting. The goal of the hackathon is to encourage developers to discuss, collaborate and develop utilities, ideas, sample code and solutions that show practical implementations of IETF standards.

Get more info and register on the IETF95 hackathon site

Specifically, how is DevNet involved?

We're pleased to be supporting the hackathon once again, in support of its stated goals to:

  • bring running code back into the IETF
  • bridge the gap between open source and open standards and
  • introduce more developer and young people to the IETF.
Take a look at the blogpost summarizing the previous hackathon, IETF 94 Hackathon – Open Source and Open Standards in Yokohama, to get a better sense of what it is all about!

And if you've got 2 minutes to spare, watch our very own Charles Eckel at the IETF93 Hackathon in Prague

See you there!
