Does anyone have any technical information or presentations on the new ASA 5506 firewalls? Also, has a launch date been set?

Thanks

Darren

What about the ASA 5506-x and SSL VPN

hat ASA is needed to use SSL VPN (Anyconnect) and how many SSL VPN connections are supported?

Are there differences in SSL VPN functionality between 5506-X standard vs. security plus license?

Thanks

I am surprised that there are very few places that sell the new ASA 5506-x in the UK.

I am planning to buy one soon.

Does the Security Plus licence come with 10 SSL VPN connections? I can see that it also mentions 4 x AnyConnect Premium Peers. Does that mean that there will be a total of 14 SSL VPN connections?

If that's not the case, what is the product code to get a licence for an additional block of SSL VPN licences please?

Also, where can I get a SmartNet agreement for the ASA 5506-x from?

Thank you

Hi Marco,

as for ordering the ASA 5506-X as mentioned Cisco partners have the information that you would need. Can I ask are you a Cisco partner or a Business End user?

Hi Ferdinand

I am a business end user. I did a search here: Partner Locator-Partner Central - Cisco Systems

https://tools.cisco.com/WWChannels/LOCATR/performBasicSearch.do but either "ASA 5506-x" isn't recognised or no reseller/partner has any available.

Can you recommend a reseller in London that has them in stock?

In the meantime would you have answers to my questions above?

Thanks

Hi Marco,

I might be able to help you out. Please confirm my friend request in the communities so I can send you a private message.

Thanks,

Hi Ferdinand

Cisco have just put me in touch with a partner in my area. Are you a reseller/partner yourself?

Thanks
