sure - but what protocols are you looking to use?

AFAIK NX-OSv 9000 supports NETCONF/YANG and BGP.  Both of those are relatively easy to set up - I have some blog posts on here I think re setting them up using IOS XR.

I believe the Nexus 9000 also supports LISP and OpenFlow, but am not sure if those are supported on the NX-OSv 9000.
