Webex meeting background noise and talking

Our large Webex meetings are often interrupted by people talking in the background without their phone muted.  It can be difficult to determine the culprit based on the speaking icon on the participants panel because they stop speaking before the source can be determined.  Then they start speaking again...   The host often requests whoever it is to mute their phone but of course they are not paying attention since they are having a separate conversation...

Is there a way to sort the participants by most recent to speak so the host can more easily find and mute the culprit?

Enable the requirement to press 1 to join audio, this stops rogue voicemails from answering on callback.

When the meeting starts, set the meeting to "Mute on Entry" for all participants.

Thanks,

Clay

I would rather not mute everyone on entry as I would like to encourage participation and I think muting everyone sends the wrong message - that I don't want their input.

I will definitely keep the "1 to join".  Didn't realize the value of it until you pointed it out.

Perhaps Cisco can add a sort participants by most recent speaker in a future WebEx version.
