How does the Wireless setup popup work ?

When we install new ISE we get a popup [Attached screenshot] for Wireless setup.

If we click on 'Do not show this again' message, where is it saved ? Do we have any log file or debug to check if this setting is saved.

We had proxy enabled on Web browser and when we try to Hide this pop-up it would go away but when we tried to login again on the same ISE node the message appeared again.

After removing the proxy setting from browser this issue did not happened. So how does it work in the background on ISE ?

Hi Raghav,

Are you using a browser compatible with ISE? Please check the ISE compatibility guide for supported browser versions.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/security/identity-services-engine/products-device-support-tables-list.html

If you hide the pop-up, how can you click the “do not show again” button. Not very clear.

Please clear the browser cache and try again. In any case, what version of ISE are you using? Please let us know.

Thanks

Krishnan

Hi Krishnan,

When i click 'Do not show this again' the popup goes away. But when i login again to ISE this popup comes back again.

ISE 2.2 patch 2

This is happening when i use Proxy on the Browser.

A known issue -- CSCvf18741

When I am using proxy on the browser even after clicking the ""Do not show this again"" this message comes back again after new login.

The same does not happen when i remove the proxy from the browser. Works as expected after removing the proxy.

So how does this functionality work ? Does this gets saved in the browser cache or somewhere in ISE ?

Which client OS and browser vendor are you using? Give some idea how the proxy settings were configured when in place?

The known issue is the prompt coming back if we start ISE services. I do not think it saved to browser cache as it's not prompting when we open the same ISE admin web portal on another browser.
