I have uploded ringtones in CUCM and used Ringlist-wb.xml for cisco ip phone 7821. I can see the song name on the phone, but i cannot play or set it. I tryed the same procedure for cisco ip phones 7975 and 7962,while i used Ringlist.xml and everything works properly. Could someone help me with this issue ?

Hi,

please double check the song format that you are using (as soon as you are unable to Play it) !!!

Note: also try to reset/restart the IP Phone.

Hope this helps,

Marcelo Morais

I have tried to reset the ip phone, but with no success . I have tried different format. Could you suggest me program and how to convert to right format?

Kind Regards,

Hi,

you can use WavePad Audio and follow the PCM File Format Requirements.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

Can you include your xml file?  Does conform to this specified file format?

Feature Configuration Guide for Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Release 11.5(1) - Custom Phone Rings [Cisco Unif…

<CiscoIPPhoneRingList>

  <Ring>

  <DisplayName/>

  <FileName/>

  </Ring>

</CiscoIPPhoneRingList>

Some things to check for:

The DisplayName and FileName fields must not exceed 25 characters

Specifically for the 7800 Series, I saw a note on case-sensitivity:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/7800-series/english/admin-guide/pa2d_b_7800-series-admin-guid…

All file names are case sensitive. If you use the wrong case for the file name, the phone will not apply your changes.

Are you uploading the Audio Files in .raw or .rwb?
