Cannot open the Excel ACI configurator tool

I downloaded the file 'VBA-Cable_Plan.xlsm' from the link 'https://acidev.cisco.com/public/codeshop/excel-aci-configurator/' but I got the below error message when I open the excel file. I'm using WIN7 and Excel 2016.

"Excel cannot open the file 'VBA-Cable_Plan.xlsm' because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the tile"

Advise please how I can open the excel file.
