I have a 9396PX connected up to a APIC.
Physical layer is up.
I login to the leaf and see
*******************
Fabric Discovery in Progress, show commands are no fully functional
.....
**************************
On the APIC acidiag fnvread says the leaf state in "inactive"
On the 9k cat /mit/sys/ummary says the state is "in-service"
But I cannot get any CLI "sho" commands on the 9k ???

Hello
This is normal for a switch in ACI mode that has yet to be registered to the fabric from the APIC. Have you gone to fabric>inventory>fabric membership and given the switch with the serial number a Node ID and name? because the acidiag fnvread shows inactive i am going to assume you did.
Does the leaf have any lldp neighbors? Even though the banner says that, some commands are still functional as they are needed for troubleshooting.
Is this a new Leaf or a new fabric? if so, what version of code is this leaf running compared to the APICs or other switches in the fabric?
i look forward to your reply.

I am in a lab with an APIC, leaf and spine doing testing.
I have worked out that all three software versions are incompatible. I am downloading compatible versions overnight and will load them up tomorrow.
