I have 2 ACI fabrics. One in my production DC and the other in a DR facility. They are separate fabrics with separate controllers. I need to extend an epg EPG1/BD1 from production to DR. I will use OTV for LAN extension. Can’t use some of the newer extension technologies. The OTV platform will be Nexus 7702 with N77-M348XP-23L lines card.
In DR I don’t want any local routing to take place. I want a host on the extended vlan in DR to use the ACI gateway on the Production DC leaf. In DR I already have an EPG1/BD1 defined. I’m going to remove the subnet definition on the BD, essentially turn it into a L2 segment. So no FHRP in DR for this EPG1.
Will this work? Any other gotcha’s I should consider with this configuration? If you have come across any good docs for this config let me know?
