Jabber For Windows - Enhance user experience

Hello,

Is there a way (API or something else) to change the user's deskphone assoication in jabber ?

(We have cases where a user has multiple Controlled Devices).

The idea is to retreive (using CDP/LLDP or what ever) the phone directly attached to the computer and change the association in jabber at login time for example.

The Jabber desktop clients do not expose any APIs that would enable this kind of automation.  Sounds like a good feature request for the desktop clients to build in, though
