CSCuu42029 - FI-A became inaccessible, /opt/db/sam.config NOT Found error

This bug (CSCuu42029) has affected more than one fabric interconnects in our environment and has caused it to become inoperable. The FI had to be recovered with help of Cisco support. The Cisco bug search has fix release status of ” No release planned to fix this bug”. We would like to know what is the permanent fix for this bug and when it will be made available, as it has affected our environment multiple times?

CSCuu42029 was closed as hardware for the cause, but some cases look to be closely related to CSCuu33864 & CSCut63966.  See those two for fixed versions.  2.2(6c)+
