we have some C9500 SVL System (C9500-48Y4C)
We bought them initial with ADV license.
As we do not use the ADV functions, we will downgrade the DNA licenses to Essential as part of the Enterprise Agreement renewal.
Unfortunately, I cannot find a way to set the new license and restart the SVL units one after the other.
I set the license with the following command
license boot level network-advantage addon dna-essentials
write memory
Then I restart the standby unit.
As soon as the redundancy state has reached hot standby again, I restart the active switch with the command
redundancy force-switchover
After hot standby is reached again, the license is still set to DNA Advantage
The only way to take over the license is to reboot both units at the same time with the command reboot
Of course, this is not really great for an HA switch
Does anyone have an idea how this could work without having to reboot the complete SVL?
