Hi all,
I am thinking of purchasing asr1002-hx and would like to make sure my understanding is right.
I need crypto, vrf's,dmvpn, mpls, ospf, bgp.. full feature set..
What I understand that I need is following :
ASR1002HX-IPSECHW= Cisco ASR1002-HX Crypto Module with no default throughput
FLSA1-2HXIPS8G= Crypto throughput License for ASR1002-HX 8G
4x1gig port's and 4x10Gig (44Gbps) = Enabled out of the box
What bothers me is feature license :
Index 1 Feature: adventerprise
Period left: Not Activated
Period Used: 0 minute 0 second
License Type: EvalRightToUse
License State: Active, Not in Use, EULA not accepted
License Count: Non-Counted
License Priority: None
Index 2 Feature: advipservices
Period left: Not Activated
Period Used: 0 minute 0 second
License Type: EvalRightToUse
License State: Active, Not in Use, EULA not accepted
License Count: Non-Counted
License Priority: None
Are adventerprise/advipservices license something that is also purchased, or it's just enabled on CLI ? I don't find it on the ordering page and that confuses me.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Regards,
Bozo

1002-HX is an older platform, and will be EOL'd soon, go for Cat 8K Series Routers (C8500 or C8300) instead with DNA Advantage Licensing.

In case there is a reason to go for 1002-HX, then there are Technology Package Licenses that should be purchased (IP Base, Advanced IP or Adv Enterprise) , also for Crypto function, a hardware card has to be included with appropriate Throughput licenses (8G or 16G or 25G), these are all addons on top of the router hardware.
Technology Packs on 1002-HX
SLASR1-AIS
SLASR1-IPB
SLASR1-AES
Crypto Licenses
FLSA1-2HXIPS8G
FLSA1-2HX8G16G
FLSA1-2HX8G25G

Dear @swmazumd ,
Many thanks for your reply. I'll take a look on C8500 series.
As for technology packs I am still not sure, forgive me, if I really have to purchase it : I am reading this page "Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers Ordering Guide"
Under feature licenses :
All the licenses on the Cisco ASR 1000 Series (with some exceptions for the Cisco ASR 1001 licenses prior to Cisco IOS XE Software Release 3.6S; refer to the section “Ordering Cisco ASR 1001, ASR1001-X, and ASR 1002-X Series Feature Licenses”) are honor-based; that is, the licenses are not enforced through a product activation or license key.
Can you please clarify.
Regards,
Bozo
