Attend a WebEx meeting on an iPhone or iPad

Documentation says that in order to "attend a WebEx meeting on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you must first install the WebEx app. Once the app is installed, you can join into meetings by tapping the link to join the meeting in the email invitation..."

My question is:

Can we get the meeting join URL from the WebEx API and use this URL in a customized email we send to the attendees (instead of the URL we get from the WebEx site directly)?

Hello,

URL API join link is supported by mobile application and will launch the intended session. Note that attendee name and email will be ignored, in favor of the values stored in the WebEx application for the user.

Hi,

What if the URL API join link is the guest join URL - can guest attendees join a meeting on their mobile using that link?

Do they need to type in some password in the application (they do not have a WebEx user)?

Hello,

If the mobile app has not been configured, the attendee name is pulled from the mobile device information, either for the owner, or for the device name.

Hi,

We did a test now.

Got the "Guest join meeting" URL from the API and sent it to an attendee (that does not have a WebEx user) via email.

The attendee clicked on the link on his mobile and the mobile browser opened the application.

Why did the application ask for a password from that user - he does not have a WebEx username and password?

Anyway to workaround that password so guests will not have to do anything but click the link?

Hello,

Meetings may have a join password that would be required to join, this is separate from a username and password, as it is the same join password for all attendees, if set.
