CUCM 12.5.1 iphone unable to do consult transfer

Hi all,

We have some issues on a consult transfer on TCT (jabber Iphone).

On CUCM 11.6 the TCT/BOT/TAB devices all had a max number of calls set to 3.
And we did not experience problems on transferring calls. (direct of consult transfer)

 

We recently upgrade to CUCM 12.5.1 and we noticed that on the TCT/BOT/TAB devices the max number of calls is now set to 2. We changed the max number of calls as recomended.

When I set the max number of calls on CSF devices to 2 we can do a consult transfer. 

When I set the max number of calls on BOT devices to 2 we can do a consult transfer. 

When I set the max number of calls on TAB devices to 2 we can do a consult transfer. 

But! When we set the max number of calls on TCT devices to 2 we cannot do a consult transfer. 

 

Please share experience.

I think you are hitting bug CSCvw49326. It applies to iOS 14.2

Hello Peter,

 

TCT/TAB/BOT devices can support up to 2 calls and this is working as designed https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvk67909/?rfs=iqvred. If you had an option for 3, you've most likely encountered a cosmetic bug. 

I believe you are hitting this defect which affects only TCT devices and is quite rare https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvt63872. Try to logout/login as suggested and see if that helps. 

We had 11.6 running from 2016 and no problem with the Jabber on Iphone TCT devices as the max number of calls was set to 3.

Also after the upgrade to 12.5.1 we had no issues until we changed the device to max number of calls to 2.
During migration there was no error reported that the TCT devices had a wrong max number of calls.
I think bug CSCvt63872 is most likely causing this. As the TAB and BOT devices have no issue.

From the line configuration check maximum number calls to 4 and Bust trigger is set to 3 or more.

In the new release 12.5.1 is the max number of calls for TCT,BOT and TAB devices 2!

I just wanted to add to this response. It seems @BalajiSivaraj49175 is not aware of the 12.5.1 update.
@Peter van der Vlies is explaining that a max of 2 calls can be put on these devices.
I also had 3 everywhere, and suddenly I had to change them all to only have 2.maxcalls.png
