How do I export my contact list? Recently, my Jabber client was upgraded and all of my contacts was wiped out. I had to go and rebuild the list.

Upgrading Jabber would not cause that, all the contacts are stored on the IM&P server, not locally.

The public contacts are there but not my personal contact list which are in groups. I had to re-create each group and add contacts back from the public contact list. Also, that posted solution does not work for me. I am an end user and don't have those privileges. BTW, I'm using the Cisco Jabber client.

No contacts are stored locally, your enterprise contacts (which you search from your directory), pizza guy contacts, and groups, they're all coming from IM&P

If those were local, then each time you logged in using a different machine/device, you'd have no contacts, but that's not how this works.
You want to reach out your local IT to let them know about this problem, and I'm afraid there's no way for end users to export this info.
