IMP Persistent chat retention period

Hello,

I will deploy an external Db server (MSSQL) in order to store Message Archiver, Persistent chat and Managed file transfert. I have found the calculation method in order to estimate the size for the DB server. I would need 5.3Gb/month, then if I keep 2 month of archive I will need 10.6Gb. 

The real question is : Is it possible and where can I define the retention period ?

What happen when my DB will be full, I mean when my 10.6Gb will be used ? Is there a FIFO method or something like that ?

IM&P doesn't perform any kind of cleanup in the DB or external file server, you need to take care of that manually.

If you created your DB at a fixed size, and messages can no longer be written, you would lose them. Not sure if you can configure some sort of FIFO mechanism directly in the DB, but any setting, would be in the DB directly.
