We have a user with a Nexus 5 who says that Jabber on their device is eating CPU, and hence battery. In one day, doing nothing, the Jabber client consumed over two hours of CPU whilst idle. The user is also reporting that the Jabber client doesn't seem to gracefully handle switching between WiFi & mobile data and they often suffer long periods of disconnection as the client tries to reconnect.
Is this a one off, or have other people seen these types of problems with Jabber for Android?
