Jabber for Windows 11.8 Shows login id rather than contact name

I have deployed Jabber for Windows to a couple of users and they are having problems with it displaying the user login id xxxxx@cisco.com (as an example) rather than John Doe. When I click on each user in Jabber it changes it to the appropriate display name and also updates they picture. This occurs almost everything I restart Jabber.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

the Jabber UID is displayed instead of the username, when the directory lookup fails.

What kind of directory integration do you use? LDAP, UDS? Is it configured properly? Check the status of the directory connection under Help>Show Connection Status, when this occurs.

Is this also happening in the contact list? The information on users in your contact list should be cached locally, so there might also be a problem with that.
