Hi,
Is there any way to configure Jabber for windows so that it downloads the voice mails on the workstation?
Also, the release notes mention that Jabber for windows does not uses the IMAP to connect to Voicemail but uses the REST interface but looking at the Jabber deployment guide, the cos should have the Allow Users to Access Voice Mail Using an IMAP Client and/or Single Inbox & Allow IMAP Users to Access Message Bodies. Any reason why this needs to be done?
To configure Cisco Unity Connection, you must create user profiles and then provide users with IMAP access.
See the Cisco Unity Connection documentation for specific configuration tasks.
Before You Begin
Add a Voicemail Service
Procedure
Step 1 Create user profiles on Cisco Unity Connection.
Step 2 Provide users with IMAP access.
Open the Cisco Unity Connection administrative interface.
Select Class of Service.
The Edit Class of Service window opens.
Locate the Licensed Features section.
Select Allow Users to Access Voice Mail Using an IMAP Client and/or Single Inbox.
Select Allow IMAP Users to Access Message Bodies.
Select Save.

No, this is like VVM, it will only be loaded, if you want to get messages in your PC, then configure UM, or accept and relay.

Thanks. What about the IMAP configuration done on the Unity connection? Why is it done if Jabber does not uses IMAP?
