Jabber install removes MS Teams presence in Microsoft Outlook

Installing Jabber 14.0.4.

Presence was set to jabber after install.

I've gone to the registry key and set DefaultIMProvider to "Teams"

Still cannot see presence in MS Outlook.

ANy ideas on this.

Client is running on Windows 10 with MSO 365.

You should look at installing Jabber with a switch set on the installation. This has been asked many times. Use the search functionality in the community.

I am aware of that install switch however, still have some users that lose the Teams integration.

Did you ever get this resolved? 

it was my understanding that the last app to be installed would take over the protocol handlers.  

to fix this, you’d need to make registry changes to flip the protocol handlers back to teams.
