We are trying to upgrade an existing CVP 8.5 Standalone which has loads of custom .tcl files running on 39xx gateways.
Now while upgrading we are facing challenge of porting of .tcl files to 4xxx gateways as the gateways doesn't support it anymore. The .tcl files were used for making outbound calls using MakeCall functionality. We need to keep the same call flow work but now with VVB. Is .tcl migration to VVB possible? What is the workaround now with CVP 11.6 and 4xxx gateways. Please suggest.

ISR4Ks support TLC files just fine, they don't support voice browser .vxml scripts, hence a need for virtual voice browser in place of Cisco router for such deployments. You'll need to get the VVB if you cannot use ISR G2 routers i.e. 29/39XX (these still have some life left in them).

VVBs are locked down for the most part, you are not able to customize some of the scripts like you were able to with a VXML gateway unfortunately.
