We're moving DCs. My question is, can I power on my 5ks and 2ks FEXs simultaneously or should I power on the 5Ks first and then power on the FEXs?

The FEX is a dump device as you mentioned. You can configure the ACI fabric to connect 2Ks, disconnect it from old node and connect it to new fabric.
Do you want to carry the port configs of the FEX ports to ACI fabric?
