Nexus 9k not connected port status

Hi there,

Could I have some Nexus assistance?

I am currently adding new Nexus 9k (93180YC-EX) to an existing spine-leaf network, attaching them to the spine (2x 93180LC-EX) using 100g QSFPs (QSFP-100G-LR4-S).

When I connect the QSFPs and fiber to the respective switches the lights go out on the port and its status is "not connected."

I have checked the config, which appears correct

interface Ethernet1/7
  mtu 9216
  ip address 10.36.0.53/30
  ip ospf network point-to-point
  no ip ospf passive-interface
ip router ospf UNDERLAY area 0.0.0.0
  ip pim sparse-mode
  no shutdown
-----------------------------------------------------------
interface Ethernet1/54
  mtu 9216
  ip address 10.36.0.54/30
  ip ospf network point-to-point
  no ip ospf passive-interface
ip router ospf UNDERLAY area 0.0.0.0
  ip pim sparse-mode
  no shutdown

I have checked that the respective devices pick up their QSFPs using show interface transceiver, both devices showing something along the lines of

Ethernet1/7
transceiver is present
type is QSFP-100G-LR4-S
name is CISCO-ADDON
part number is QSFP-100G-LR4-S
revision is D3
serial number is AD2088952840
nominal bitrate is 25500 MBit/sec per channel
Link length supported for 9/125um fiber is 10 km
cisco id is 17
cisco extended id number is 204
cisco part number is 10-3146-01
cisco product id is QSFP-100G-LR4-S

I have flipped the tx/rx at one end of the connection and open/shut the ports with no success

Although the QSFP appear correct if I connect them between two of my leaf switches the lights on the port come on. Despite incorrect config.

I am completely stuck on this, can anyone assist?

Hi @Adamciscoaccount

Can you test the QSFP-100G-LR4-S on one of the ports 29-32 on the 93180LC-EX?

Check the notes from: https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/?si=QSFP-100G-LR4-S&npid=43&npid=147

Thanks,

Sergiu
