NXOS - adding a pair of N9K to same area as currenlty a pair of 6500's connected

This is regarding HW replacement/migration effort with no-disrupting in network services - from Cisco IOS to NXOS:

OSPF Area 4:  A new pair of N9K just directly added to the backbone (Area 0)
OSPF Area 4:  An existing pair of Catalyst IOS 6500s currently is handling the traffic for the existing endpoints connected to Area# 4

so:

OSPF Area 0: both N9K as well as 6500s are connected directly to backbone til Nexus N9K fully take over the passing traffic.

I'm seeking feedback/input as to avoid any routing issues - to manually adjust OSPF metrics on N9K switches to be tweaked to make sure incoming/outgoing traffic go thru WS-C6500's as before.

I'm not too familiar with NXOS  OSPF compatible CLI yet.

Please help me out

Thanks

Hi @Tehransoccer

Have a look here about the differences between IOS and NXOS when it comes to OSPF:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/nx-os/tech_note/cisco_nxos_ios_ospf_comparison.html

Stay safe,
