Hi Guys,
What the best way to migrate the Service Console from vSwitch to Nexus 1000v.
I was thinking that i just create a port profile i.e.
port-profile service_console
switchport mode acess
switchport access vlan x
vmware port-group
no shut
system vlan x
state enabled.
I would then tag the system uplink with that service console vlan (above) and use the Migrate Existing Virtual Adapters wizard to migrate it across to the NK1V assigning it the port-profile above and then remove the vswitch.
Do i need to do anything else

Hi Christopher,
Your procedure looks good. One more thing just to avoid any potential issues: make sure this vlan is also allowed over the pnic(s) connected to the N1K uplink on the upstream switch (in case it is configured differently than the pnic still sitting on the vswitch).
Cheers,
sachin

Make sure you also add this vlan x for the service console to the system vlan list on the uplink port-profile.
