I try to understand why those to boxes have a totally different behaviour during VPC setup when peer link is up and peerkeep alive is down.
N7K 6.2.12: after 240sec, assume that peer is down (even if peerlink is up) and start the VPCs. May go to dual active if they are in pair.
syslog: %VPC-4-VPC_REINITIALIZED: Reinitializing vpcs assuming peer dead
N9K 7.0.3.I2.1: the restore timer never start because (because peerlink is up?) and VPCs will never start. If they are in pair, no traffic is allowed.
last vpc syslog: %VPC-3-VPC_PEER_LINK_BRINGUP_FAILED: vPC peer-link bringup failed (peer-keepalive not operational, peer never alive)
I discovered this behaviour but never seen it in the documentation.
This is box specific ? release specific ? bug ?
