I am working on setting up Cisco Energy Management Suite in my office and need to know whether it is OK to manage power for our Cisco 7941G phones. My office has a requirement that any employee can make emergency calls from his or her phone at any time.
I understand that I would need to disable Power Save Plus mode in order to make sure the phone is always usable.
How can I enable EnergyWise for these phones and still have them be able to wake up quickly for emergency calls? Is there a low power mode into which I can place our phones and still have them wake up quickly when the user picks up the handset or hits a button?
