Check out the very first video in our new series 'DevOps Shop'.
The video is called 'Intro to Cisco Modeling Labs for DevOps' and is live now!
Learn the basics of how to use Cisco Modeling Labs to automate your network for DevOps! In this video we utilize a free CML sandbox from Cisco DevNet to interact with a CML simulation through an API and through a pre-built Python library called VIRL2 Client.
One other key element we demonstrate is pyATS, and how we can leverage the pyATS Testbed, through CML, to transform and test our networks in real time. We'll show you how easy it is to get started turning your infrastructure into code.
In a CI/CD pipeline, CML can occupy the 'Network Simulation' node shown below. In the Intro to Cisco Modeling Labs for DevOps video above, we use both the CML API and the VIRL2 Client Library to generate a pyATS testbed, which can be used in the 'Network Testing' and 'Infrastructure as Code' nodes as well.
Don't forget about the ability to control the life cycle with Terraform using the CML Terraform provider... shameless plug in this blog post from me.
