Hi all,

Im trying to enable Guestshell on my ISR4331 but need to enable iox first, when I go to enable fox the command is not recognised, neither is any box command.

im running 16.06.03 Everest, sample output below

STR-LAB-01-RTR-01#guestshell run python
 iox feature is not enabled
STR-LAB-01-RTR-01#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
STR-LAB-01-RTR-01(config)#iox
                           ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

STR-LAB-01-RTR-01(config)#

any ideas?

Thanks

this is odd, I go through the guide follow it exactly and output as per the below: -

LAB-01-RTR-01(config)#virtual-service
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
LAB-01-RTR-01(config)#virt
LAB-01-RTR-01(config)#virtual-?
virtual-profile virtual-template

I have the same problem about enable iox feature. Is there any solution?

Note this line from the guide referenced above:

There is a minimum memory and storage requirments they are: 8GB RAM, 20GB SATA harddisk or SSD

If the router doesn't have an SSD installed, these iox and guestshell commands aren't available.

I am running 16.9.4 with same issue.

I do have 8gb RAM & 20G Hard drive.

in My case it turned out to be booster license feature . I had to disable this feature & reboot the router.

no platform hardware throughput level boost .

HTH

Sincerely
