Cisco ESA watchdog failures

 Dear all,

 

After upgrading to Cisco ESA 11.0.274 we have getting alot of system alerts

 

AMP Engine: Process restarted due to watchdog health check failures. --> this caused an outage

SBRS Engine: Process restarted due to watchdog health check failures.

Graymail Engine: Process restarted due to watchdog health check failures.

 

I am not seeing any bugs with regards to this and its happening very frequently post upgrade.


has anyone seen this issues.

These may be due to some bugs on this version: https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/search?kw=*&pf=prdNm&pfVal=282509130&rls=11.0.0&sb=afr&bt=custV

You can verify in here if there's any that meets that criteria.
However i strongly suggest to contact Cisco TAC to do a deeper diagnosis into it if there are applicable bugs/fixes available if they are impacting the mail flow.

I would suspect you may need to contact cisco TAC to investigate further.

Just out of curiousity - what is the hardware/vm in question that you're using?

its a hardware which we are using currently and we keep these error's and false alarms even when there is no issue.

Thank you for that - I would suggest to reach out to Cisco TAC as this type of issue would require further investigation into the logs and processes with the tunnel access.
