Make sure that the MGCP gateway configuration page in call manager contains a Calling Search Space under the inbound calls section that can reach the partition that 772222720 is in.  Also check the significant digits setting on the MGCP gateway page, to see if call manager is trying to look for the full number or just part of it.  Lastly if the settings look correct, try and reset the MGCP gateway from call manager and do a "no mgcp", "mgcp" on the router to update any configuration changes that may have been made.

Joe,

I had carefully verified all the settings several times, but our calls kept failing with the same 'Cause i = 0x8081'. I finally re-applied the swtich-type/protocol NI2 throughout (since I had been making some changes to troubleshoot), which did not get things working yet, but then just resetting mgcp as you indicated solved the issue

I'm glad I came across your post because it was driving me crazy.  Thank you!

i was also having this issue with incoming call, and did unnecessary troubleshooting like crazy.

Until i stumbled across this post to RESET the MGCP by doing a no mgcp, mgcp on the router.

I tried resetting mgcp gateway on the cucm, did not work. I had to do the reset on the voice gateway.

iS this a bug?

Ideally by resetting the gateway from cucm page the changes are pushed to the gateway. You can run "debug mgcp packets" to see what communication happens between gateway and cucm when it is reset from cucm. It could be something specific to your deployment.

Hi

Your 'called' number inbound is appearing as 772222720 in all these calls. The error you have seen is telling you that you don't have that number allocated in your CUCM. This is either true, or it simply can't be reached from your gateway due to a problem with the CSS assigned to the E1.

You need to map this to a number by following these guidelines:

1) Firstly, the 'CAlling Search Space' on the E1/T1 config page in the 'Inbound' section must be set to one which includes the internal DN that calls need to reach, e.g. a CTI RP for Contact Center, a translation patter, or a simple DN on a phone etc. If you have an internal DN of 772222720 then this is all you need to do.

2) If not, then 772222720 needs to be mapped to the internal extension by some means. This is typically done is one of a few ways:

- Again on the E1/T1 page, in the 'Inbound' section, set a significant digits and/or prefix digits. For example, if you use four-digit extensions, and the intended place for this call to go is 2720, use sig digits = 4 to strip the rest. If your internal extension was 7720, you would use sig digits =3, and prefix 7. This assumes there is a logical correlation between the DDI number (772222720 and other numbers on this PRI) and internal extensions.

- If you have multiple number ranges on this PRI, and there is no correlation between DDI and extension (for example 772222720 maps to DN 1234) then you would need to add a translation pattern (in a partition in the CSS assigned to the PRI) to map 772222720 to 1234.

Aaron

Hi all,

Right now one short number is there eg:779 (customer care number),Whenever customer calling this 779 nmuber the call

will coming this PRI .The telco 779 traffic mapped to the 772222720 this number ,Our 772222720 number transilated to the

779 trigger in callmanger. Also find attched sh runn configuration of router.

There's one catch, since you said the number is a trigger, that means it's going to contact center which does a redirect to a CTI port, the CSS that is used for the redirect is usually the problem, make sure that the original calling devices (CSS) gateway or if it is going through a translation pattern, the translation patterns CSS, contains the partition of the CTI port the call is redirected to.  More information on this can be found here:

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCso91760

One addition, the redirect can be to a CTI port or agent DN, so check for both of those partitions in the original calling devices CSS.

Hi all

We are not using partition and css, Redircting to cti port

Regards'

Hi

If you aren't using partitions and CSSs (good practice says you should be) - then sig digits/prefix is the remaining important part.
