Change Unity Connection GUI Admin Password

Hello everyone,

CUC 8.6 in play.  I am finding a lot of information on resetting teh password if it has been lost but not a lot on just changing it.  Anyone have a link available?

Hi ,

for CLI/OS administration ,

set password user admin  [Press enter now] .

admin is the username for login through OS.You need to enter your OS username .

for GUI access, check if this command  from CLI through putty

utils reset_application_ui_administrator_password

I have tied and it shows error as : 2018-01-11 23:08:54,717 ERROR [ClassExecutionThread] cli.cmdResetPasswd - Error:: 01/11/2018 23:08:54.714 : Update FAILED: code = 21, DUPLICATE CREDENTIAL

any idea , how I could get back to old PWD please
