CUCM 10.5 IP change

Greetings,

I'm preparing to move CUCM & CUUC 10.5 clusters to a different subnet.  They are running as guests on a ESXi host - the phyiscal server will also be moved to the new subnet.  I have IP change documentation for the CUCM.  I was hoping to see if anyone can provide a link to the IP chnage documentation for the CUUC 10.5.  Most importantly, I would like to know if the IP change on the ESXi host will cause any licensing issues?  Or is it a simple IP change?

Thank you!

ESXi config is not used for licensing, that's something completely apart.

If I understand correctly, there will be a change in the IP Address of the actual ESXi host along with the Virtual Machines (CUCM and CUC in this case) installed on it as well. If that is correct, then the License MAC will definitely change and you will need the rehosted license file that Cisco Licensing Team will issue you once you help them with new License Generation Request from PLM post changing the IP Details for your CUCM/CUC server

Thank you Jaime!  Just wanted to make sure.

So once the CUCM/CUUC are re-IP'd, it should just be a matter of making sure they can reach the Prime for licensing - thinking out loud.  If anyone can chime in with a confirmation that IP changes on the CUCM/CUUC will not impact any existing licensing on the cluster; that would be cool.

as the licenses gets installed on PLM, just make sure Unity synchronize with the PLM, also refer the below doc for post-change task list.

Thank you Deepak, this is exactly what I'm preparing to do.  Very much appreciated.  I knew IP changes on MCS based CUCM/CUUC clusters needed the rehost of liceneses.  I wasn't sure if ESXi VM based CUCM/CUUC 10.5 clusters needed the same.

Deepak,

JGB_GtmK_CJoN mentioned he has CUCM and CUUC 10.5. I am not sure pointing to a document on version 8.0.2 helps. The licensing model for version 8.0.2 is completely different to that of 10.5

10.5 is based on PLM server for there is no license mac in play here
