Display name for user not updating to new name CUCM 10.5

Hi Team

I reused an extension for another user.  However when I call the new user, the display name is still showing as the old name. 

I updated the description, alerting name, ASCII alerting name, Display (Caller ID), ASCII Display (Caller ID) and applied and saved.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi Brian,

get the output of below SQL query to see what information Informix has

run sql select * from numplan where dnorpattern = 'XXXX'

XXXX is the number.

sql_statement mandatory the sql command to run

Hi Brian,

Just to add a note to the great info from Jitender (+5) this issue is often seen when the DN in question also appears on other phones as a Shared Line. If so, you need to change Alerting name/ASCII Alerting name portion on the shared Line appearance and use the propagate button to update it on the other shared devices.

Looks as if it updated by it self to the correct number.  Not sure why it took that long.  Thanks for the help.

Hi Brian,

Check DB Replication, a customer faced similar issue before a couple of months and i found out that it was related to DB replication, stop replication on all cluster and reset it and check the result.

Hi 

Please check the replication and see if there are any sync errors.
utils dbreplication runtimestate

Please execute the CLI in order:
utils dbreplication dropadmindb
utils dbreplication stop
utils dbreplication reset all

Wait for the end of syncro and execute the cli to validate that the errors are fixed

utils dbreplication runtimestate

should I do these commands on the publisher or the subscriber? 

currently my subscriber has the an old data, while the publisher has the up to date data. 

may I ask what these commands do, specially the first one "utils dbreplication dropadmindb" can it clear any data or something? or just reset the replication? 

after this command "utils dbreplication stop" is there any command to start the replication again or does it start automatically?
