Hello,

I can't find how to import a local contact book on cisco 8841.
I can't find any documentation on the job or self-care, i need to import 800 contacts.

I don't want to create 1 by 1 on the phone.

-------------
Bonjour,

Cordialement,

Timig

AFAIk you need to add that one by one in self care portal. Not sure if there is  any changes with the newer  versions.

i am not sure if the personal address book synchronization still works but i would search on that.

+1 to what Steve posted. I've never used it myself, but the tool is still present in 11.5. Documentation referenced below.

Corporate and Personal Directory Setup (cisco.com)

Also, you may have already considered this, but saving that many contacts to a Personal Directory doesn't seem very user friendly or scalable.

upon further review.......

The Cisco IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer is only supported on unsupported
versions of Windows (for example, Windows XP and earlier). The tool is not
supported on newer versions of Windows. In future, it will be removed from the
Cisco Unified Communications Manager plug-ins list

This is from the doc mradell linked.   I would not go this route.

@Jaime Valencia's solution below seems to be your best option

I tried to make this option  working for a customer recently and it dint  work with newer windows  versions. And I end up adding the contacts ONE by one..

It would probably be easier if you create your own directory script and then, if possible, pull that data from a data source so you can control it centrally and maybe handle it via a CSV/TXT file.

Hi there,

You won't be able to import local directories into the phone.

Your options would be to use LDAP, XML or XSI (depending on what call control you're using)

Edit (The above applies to MPP only)

thanks
