Jabber 14.x: H264HighProfileEnable not working

Hi,

A parameter for jabber-config.xml called H264HighProfileEnable is meant to allow h.264 High Profile for Jabber. This in turn should translate to bandwidth savings. On the other hand, there is an open bug which says H.264 High Profile for Jabber isn't supported and is marked as an Enhancement Request:

https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvp20852

I've done a packet capture to confirm that High Profile isn't offered by SDP via Jabber, but rather only Baseline whether H264HighProfileEnable is enabled or not.

Why would this parameter exist for Jabber if there is no support for it? Is there any document that lists which Cisco endpoint do support H.264 High Profile?

Thanks.

H.264 High Profile support was added in Jabber 12.8 per the release notes.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/12_8/jabw_b_release-notes-128.html#reference_1EA8F7F0AE4437F7B492C096080494BA

That defect is filed against 12.5. You should open a TAC case if it’s not working in 12.8 or higher.
