Phones get stuck on VPN

This morning when we came into the office, several phones are stuck in VPN mode, not sure what happened last night, they were fine day before yesterday. All phones are impacted, most are 8XXX series.

We tried reboot on one of the phone initially and that fixed the issue, but want to stop it going forward.

Check if the phones have VPN configuration or the call manager.

Was there any change recently? Is it recurring?

There was an Expressway certificate renewal recently but the phones were working fine for 2 days after that.
They are fine now, but each one required a reboot to fix the issue.

Check the logs of one of the phones to find more

Thanks. Phones are remote. What are the logs we need to collect?

As Ruben have asked, Since phones are rebooted, I believe phone logs are wiped off. Do you see any phone which is not rebooted yet.

Is the issue resolved?

Are you using MRA or VPN?

MRA
No phones ever use VPN since we decommissioned.
There is no issue, its the phones when they loose connection go back to VPN mode and always require a reboot.

Have you identified any common patterns or similarities among the affected phones, such as specific models or configurations?

There are no specific models, we have all 88XX models.

We need to change the common phone profile and common device configuration, as it has vpn profiles which are not in use, since phones are MRA devices. Once its removed, phones are asking for credentials and doesn't get stuck in vpn mode.
